Inversões, Roberta bem, mas Tands ainda irregular.

2°set Japão 18 x 16 Brasil num erro de passe entre Brait e Garay, Ze pede tempo e Thaisa diz pra Brait: " A líbero é você ". Certíssima, alguém tem dar esse toque nela , que está indo bem, mas ainda precisa de mais atitude no passe, mas nas defesas tá muito bem.

Adê, linda, entrou e anotou seus pontinhos, 4 se não me engano, sempre vibrante, essa disputa vai ser Boa, rsrs.

Conclusão, tem muita água pra rolar, muitos ajustes pra fazer, mas o começo já me inspira confiança. Temos um leque de grandes talentos, só precisamos de mais ritmo e entrosamento.

Larson and Murphy pace USA over Japan

USA relied on big power to defeat Japan on Wednesday

Nagoya, Japan, November 13, 2013 - The United States defeated Japan in four sets (25-19, 25-19, 19-25, 25-21) in their round-robin match at the FIVB World Grand Champions Cup on Wednesday night.

The result left both sides with 1-1 records as the event moves to Tokyo and resumes play on Friday.

Jordan Larson-Burbach and Kelly Murphy paced the U.S. with 20 points apiece in the triumph. Kristin Hildebrand added 16, including four blocks. Yuki Ishii was the top scorer for Japan with 19 points. Saori Kimura had 13 in the loss.

A day after losing to Olympic champion Brazil in straight sets, the U.S. was all business.

Despite several early mistakes, the U.S. took charge in the first set and had the momentum for the majority of it.

Japan, which beat European champion Russia in its opening match on Tuesday, came out sluggish and had trouble mobilizing its attack.

The U.S. did a good job of neutralizing Japan star Saori Sakoda, who had only three points through the first two sets, one night after she notched 17 against Russia.

The Americans executed well in all facets of the game in the victory. Japan struggled with receiving throughout the evening.

A block by Kristin Hildebrand put the U.S. up 5-4 in the first set. A spike by Kimura moved Japan ahead 6-5. Six of Japan's first seven points came off U.S. errors. The U.S. led 8-7 at the first TTO. Sakoda soared for a spike and Japan was done by one at 11-10. A spike by Yuki Ishii tied it 13-13. Hildebrand's spike mad it 15-13 for the U.S. A high block by Hildebrand sent the U.S. into the first TTO with a 16-13 lead.

The U.S. extended its lead to 19-15 on a spike by Lauren Paolini and Japan called a timeout. Jordan Larson-Burbach elevated for a crosscourt spike and the margin grew to 22-15. Lauren Gibbemeyer's spike gave the U.S. set point at 24-18. Gibbemeyer ended the set 25-19 with another spike. Hildebrand and Larson each have five points in the set.

The U.S. counld not handle an Ishii spike and Japan went ahead 5-4 in the second set. Kimura's spike made it 7-6 for Japan. She then connected on another and Japan was on top 8-7 at the first TTO. An Ishii spike gave Japan a 12-10 edge. Hildebrand's spike pulled the U.S. within one at 13-12. The U.S. then pulled ahead at 15-13 with two more points from Hildebrand and Japan called a timeout. The U.S. led 16-13 at the second TTO.

A Paolini spike put the U.S. up 18-15. The U.S. was in front 20-16 after Japan was unable to handle a spike. Gibbemeyer ended the longest rally of the match with a spike and the U.S. was two points from the set at 23-16. The U.S. made several fine defensive plays to keep plays alive. Japan ran off three straight points and the U.S. called a timeout. Yukino Nagamitsu sent a serve long and the U.S. had set point at 24-19. Kelly Murphy gave the set to the U.S. at 25-19 with a thunderous spike.

Japan came out determined in the third set and grabbed an 8-4 lead at the first TTO after a U.S. spike went long. A Kimura spike put Japan up 10-5 and it looked like they had finally found their footing. A nice return by Miyu Nagaoka gave Japan a 14-9 edge and the U.S. took a timeout. Akari Oumi sent Japan into the second TTO with a 16-9 lead on a spike.

Murphy blasted a spike as the U.S. pulled back within four at 16-12 and Japan called a timeout. A spike by Oumi put the Japan lead back at five ata 19-14. Nagoaka's spike made it 21-14 as Japan moved closer to the set. A U.S. return was wide and Japan was ahead 23-16. A net infraction gave Japan set point at 24-16. The U.S. fought back with three straight points. A block by Nana Iwasaka gave Japan the set 25-19.

A Larson-Burbach spike gave the U.S. a 5-4 lead in the fourth set. Ishii equalized at 6-6 with a spike. Paolini's dink made it 7-6 for the U.S. The Americans led 8-7 at the first TTO. Murphy scored three straight points and the U.S. went up 11-8. Hildebrand made it 13-8 with a spike. Oumi served into the net and the U.S. led 15-12. The U.S. was in front 16-12 at the second TTO.

Kimura's spike brought Japan within three at 17-14 and U.S. coach Karch Kiraly took a timeout. A Larson-Burbach spike made it 19-15. Hildebrand's block put the U.S. up 21-17 and the summit was clearly in sight. When Murphy fired a spike long, Japan was within two at 21-19. Murphy connected with another spike and the U.S. was two points from the win at 23-20. After Oumi could not handle a shot, it was match point for the U.S. It ended with one final spike from Murphy.

Fenômeno Gabi desequilibra contra o Japão

Ninguém jogou mais bola do que Gabi na segunda partida da seleção na fase final do Grand Prix. A seleção fez 3 a o no Japão, lidera com 6 pontos e confirma o crescimento na competição.

Impressiona a cada jogo a personalidade dessa menina de apenas 19 anos. Diante do Japão, Gabi parecia uma veterana em quadra, foi a jogadora de segurança de Dani Lins e virou praticamente todas as bolas que recebeu.

José Roberto Guimarães repetiu a formação que fez 3 a 0 nos Estados Unidos mas foi obrigado a tirar Monique ainda no primeiro set para a entrada de Sheilla. Monique, assim como na partida anterior, foi tímida, sentiu a pressão e não rendeu. Sheilla entrou e não saiu mais. Sheilla porém, assim como as demais, foi apenas coadjuvante e Gabi a estrela principal.

Gabi fez 19 pontos.

A seleção porém teve muitas dificuldades com o saque do Japão e nosso sistema de recepção falhou em várias passagens, acima da média. Ebata e Saori eram as principais peças ofensivas das japonesas.

O Japão contou com o apoio da torcida, dominou parte dos dois primeiros sets, mas entregou como de costume. Pesou a tradição e a camisa da seleção.

Não dá para deixar de enaltecer o bom desempenho do bloqueio brasileiro, 14 pontos, mas quem desequilibrou o jogo foi Gabi.

Japan overcome Italy in three sets in World Grand Prix Finals

 Sapporo, Japan, August 28, 2013 – Japan beat Italy 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-22) in the third match of the Final Round of the FIVB World Grand Prix in Sapporo on Wednesday.

Japan and Italy are ranked third and fourth, respectively, on the FIVB world ranking and before Wednesday, Japan had only lost one of their last five World Grand Prix matches against Italy.

Japan were led by Yukiko Ebata (16 points) and Saori Kimura (15), while Valentina Diouf scored 14 points for Italy.

Japan claimed nine blocking points to Italy’s seven and eight service points to Italy’s two.

Italy had the advantage in the early stages of the match, cruising into a 7-3 lead before Japan fought back with some great defence that set up a good finish for Saori Kimura. Three Italian errors assisted the Japanese cause and the home team were one point up at the first technical timeout. After a neatly placed shot by Kimura and a nice slam by Riho Otake, Italian coach Marco Mencarelli called a timeout. Italy’s biggest problem was reception; Japan had three service points by the second TTO, which they reached five points in the clear thanks to a wonderfully placed shot by Kimura. Japan were winning more by guile than power and Mencarelli had to call another timeout at 12-18 to sort his players out. It didn’t work and Japan kept finding holes with clever shots. Nana Iwasaka brought setpoint with a nice kill down the middle and Yukiko Ebata put Japan 1-0 up with a super block on Caterina Bosetti.

Valentina Diouf slammed down two big kills and made a good block on Ebata to give Italy some momentum in the second set, but Iwasaka then sent down two serves that the Italians couldn’t deal with and Japan edged into the lead again. They were three points ahead at the first TTO and errant shots by Diouf and Cristina Chirichella stretched that to five. Good work by Kimura and Ebata advanced Japan’s cause and after a neat kill by Risa Shinnabe, Japan were eight points ahead at 18-10. Italy fought back and Japan lost their way as they dropped four straight points, reducing their lead to just three points at 19-16 when coach Masayoshi Manabe called a timeout. Italian errors helped Japan get back on track and setpoint came when Valentina Fiorin planted a shot in the net. A kill down the middle by Ebata put Japan 2-0 up.

Diouf again gave Italy a fighting chance at the beginning of the third set, but more good Japan defence and a bit of luck when an Otake serve trickled over the net allowed Japan to get a foothold in the set and the hosts were two points ahead at the first TTO. Mencarelli called a timeout when Japan moved into a four-point lead at 13-9 and the Italians started to power their way back into the set after that, trailing by only a point at 15-14 before Otake made a big block on Diouf. Two Japan errors evened the scores at 16-16 but blown serves by Chirichella and Carolina Costagrande handed the momentum back to Japan. A great block by Iwasaka on Diouf saw Japan go four points ahead at 22-18 and that was too much for Italy to overcome. Italy closed to 22-23 before Ebata spiked matchpoint and Indre Sorokaite sent a shot wide to end the match.

GRAND PRIX: Brasil começa a aclimatação no Japão

NAGOYA, 21.08.2013 – A seleção brasileira feminina de vôlei já está no Japão, onde começou nesta QUARTA-FEIRA (21.08), o período de aclimatação para a Fase Final do Grand Prix. As brasileiras ficarão na cidade de Nagoya até o dia 25 de agosto, quando partirão para Sapporo, sede da etapa decisiva. O primeiro dia do time verde e amarelo em solo japonês foi marcado por dois períodos de atividades no Centro de Treinamento do Denso Airybees, uma tradicional equipe feminina de voleibol no Japão.

No entanto, antes de chegarem a Nagoya, as brasileiras enfrentaram uma verdadeira maratona de três voos e uma viagem de ônibus, em um total de mais de 20 horas. As atuais campeãs olímpicas saíram de Almaty, no Cazaquistão, e seguiram para Hong Kong, na China. De lá, a equipe pegou mais um voo até Tóquio, no Japão. Da capital japonesa, foi a vez do último voo da jornada para a cidade de Nagoya. E depois, mais uma viagem de ônibus até o destino final da delegação brasileira.

O preparador físico da seleção brasileira feminina de vôlei, José Elias Proença, comentou a importância de um período de aclimatação maior antes da fase decisiva de uma competição como o Grand Prix.

“Aclimatação faz referência com o clima. No entanto, aqui temos um problema maior de fuso horário. Avançamos mais três horas em relação ao Cazaquistão. Felizmente, vamos ter um pouco mais de tempo de ajuste de sono e funcionamento gastrointestinal e cardíaco. Daqui a uma semana começa a Fase Final. A aclimatação é o tempo dado para que nós ajustemos a todos esses fatores”, disse José Elias Proença, que ainda explicou o trabalho realizado pelo Brasil nesta quarta-feira focado na liberação das articulações.

“Cada etapa do Grand Prix tem um tipo de reação. Nessa última viagem, fizemos três pernas. Foram quase 14 horas de voo onde quase não se dormiu. Também temos que contar o esforço com a bagagem, o tempo perdido nos aeroportos, e as viagens de ônibus. Isso provoca uma reação corporal diferente. O treinamento de hoje foi em função do que chamamos de liberação das articulações. Também fomos para a academia e fizemos um trabalho de amplitude de movimento”, informou José Elias Proença.

Dani Lins aparece com destaque nas estatísticas

Melhor brasileira nas estatísticas individuais do Grand Prix, a levantadora Dani Lins, que aparece como a terceira jogadora mais eficiente na sua posição, garantiu que a expectativa para a Fase Final é a melhor possível.

“Na Fase Final são cinco jogos em sequência contra grandes times. A expectativa é boa. Estamos tendo atuações constantes. Essa semana teremos tempo de treinar e acertar os últimos detalhes. Vamos estudar bem as equipes classificadas. Aqui está bem quente e ainda estamos entrando no fuso. É importante chegarmos antes para irmos nos adaptando”, afirmou a levantadora.

Federação Internacional de Voleibol divulga tabela da Fase Final

A Federação Internacional de Voleibol (FIVB) divulgou, nesta QUARTA-FEIRA (21.08), a tabela de jogos da Fase Final do Grand Prix. O Brasil estreará na etapa decisiva às 3h30 (horário de Brasília) do dia 28 de agosto contra os Estados Unidos. Na sequência, até o dia 1º de setembro, as brasileiras enfrentarão, respectivamente, Japão, Itália, Sérvia e China.
